I believe one of the most enjoyable components of reading workshop is conferencing. When done correctly, you will get to have conversations with kids about their books and guide them into higher-level strategies. And the best part is that it does NOT need to be a complicated system! In this episode, we will talk about how to get the most out of your reading workshop conferences. This is the sixth part of a mini-series on reading workshop in middle school.
I am hopeful that through my experience, this podcast series will help guide and inspire you to either get started with a reading workshop model of teaching or to hone your skills further.
